At Kranz, Sharon works as a senior accountant on the cryptocurrency client Blockchain and other venture capital funds. Sharon has enjoyed learning cryptocurrency accounting.
Prior to joining Kranz & Associates, Sharon held controller and accounting leadership roles in private equity, real estate investment, capital markets/wealth management, and not-for-profit.
Having started her career in audit with PwC, she spent several years with the Carlyle Group in co-investment and Asia Pacific funds before returning to the Midwest to help launch a real estate investment fund as CFO.
In addition to fundamental accounting and reporting, audit, and leading teams, Sharon has been responsible for the successful project management of large-scale technology implementations.
Sharon enjoys reading, spending time with family, running around the lakes in Minneapolis, and discussing anything related to the culinary arts or changing of the seasons. She earned her bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Iowa.
