Rob previously held a Corporate Accounting Manager role for over a decade at high-end retail company regularly hitting $150M+ a year in revenue by way of multiple locations around US, with satellite operations in Europe. As Accounting Manager, he supervised a staff of 10 across the accounting, finance and HR departments while overseeing monthly close, production of consolidated financials and regularly presenting to the board. His role also uniquely involved extensive travel between New York and San Francisco offices, actively negotiating contracts with major industry talent for development of multi-year revenue streams.
Since joining Kranz nearly 4 years ago, he has worked with companies spanning industries such as cyber security, artificial intelligence, medical device manufacturing, human gene therapy, app-based clothing retail, and even a major Podcast production company. In some cases, he set up the entire accounting function for a new company- sourcing and implementing accounting and payroll platforms, bank accounts and producing their first set of financials. In many other cases, he joined a rapidly expanding organization in need of the Kranz accounting makeover.
His roles have covered everything from full cycle AP/AR, HR/payroll, BS recons, month-end close, financials, board prep, audit prep and budget model contribution, to revenue recognition, contract management as well as consolidated financials and cash forecasting. He thoroughly enjoys the exposure Kranz provides, leading me to new and interesting business concepts and industries on the regular.
