What is your hometown? My hometown is New York City.
What is your alma mater? I graduated from CUNY Hunter College.
What are your favorite things to do outside of the office? In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, listening to podcasts, watching movies, and going to sporting events.
How has your background impacted your experience as a consultant? Coming from a fund administration background and having worked for a number of different fund administrators over the years, whose focus was always on servicing the needs of the client in a dynamic environment, I feel that experience translates well in my day-to-day work as a consultant here at Kranz.
What’s a typical workday like for you? Usually, I will start the day early checking my emails and then will organize my priorities around any client deliverables for the day. There will be occasions as well for the un-planned ad hoc requests that require handling. With any leftover time, mostly in the slower periods, I like to catch up on the training modules offered by the company for professional development.
What motivates you to wake up and go to work every day? I enjoy the expectation that each day is not completely predictable in terms of what I will be doing. There is also the motivation to be present each day as part of each of the teams I am on in doing my part to service the clients of Kranz.
What kind of work have you been doing? Until recently, I primarily served in the role of a contributor on a number of different teams within the VC group, with a focus on bookkeeping, capital call processing and financial reporting. More recently, I have moved in to more of a reviewer role but still work as a contributor when needed.
Where do you believe you deliver the most value to your client? I believe I deliver the most value to my clients by completing my deliverables as efficiently within the necessary time constraints as I am able.
How do you organize environments with a lack of reporting infrastructure or inefficiency? By having a core process in place that is adaptable and prioritizing completion of those tasks which are most important. I learned this working with a number of different clients at previous fund admins over the years.
What’s your process like? For any tasks or deliverables that I am working on, I will first look at the situation or context, including the task’s importance and priority as well as what the task’s relevance is to the bigger picture. This will then be followed by looking in greater detail in order to come up with a plan of action. After that, my next step is to act on it as efficiently and with as little error as possible within the time constraints that have been provided. Finally, once complete, it will be sent to the next level of reviewer who will provide comments and feedback to be applied so as to complete and send in its final form.
