Elissa brings 25 years of fund finance, operations, and compliance experience to the team. Prior to joining Kranz, Elissa served as CFO and CCO at a startup venture firm for 3 years and spent 14 years at Weston Presidio, a $3 billion private equity firm, where she was CFO. In these roles, Elissa held responsibility for a variety of functions including financial reporting, tax, SEC compliance, investor relations, fund formation/fundraising, transaction support, and firm operations.
In addition, Elissa spent 7 years at Mavencross, a boutique fund administration firm which she founded, as a partner to funds of various sizes and stages with an emphasis on high-touch client service. She began her career in the assurance practice at EY.
Elissa received her MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, her MS in Professional Accounting from The University of Hartford, and her BA in Economics from Smith College.
Outside of work, Elissa enjoys teaching yoga, volunteering for the arts and spending time with her two children, husband, and dog.
