Dan Marotto is a senior executive with more than 30 years of experience building high-performing businesses for companies ranging from early-stage startups to publicly held entities. As Managing Principal of Kranz Consulting, he brings a collaborative, data-driven approach that elevates finance and accounting beyond traditional functions, delivering the clarity, fresh perspectives, and confidence that CEOs, management teams, and boards rely on to make informed decisions, drive growth, and improve profitability. Known for his ability to restructure organizations, enable capital reinvestment, and create attractive acquisition targets, Dan serves as a trusted thought partner to the leaders he works alongside.

Prior to joining Kranz, Dan held senior leadership roles including CFO, EVP, and CEO across a broad range of industries spanning private equity-backed professional services, publicly traded technology, and a division of luxury goods company Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH). As CEO, he successfully led a SaaS-based technology company through a private equity exit.

Dan was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and lives in Marin County. He studied market dynamics at Cambridge University, graduated from UC Davis in managerial economics, and began his career at Arthur Andersen where he earned his CPA certification. Outside the office, he can be found golfing, skiing, or coaching the local high school mountain bike team.
