Dan is a results-oriented senior executive with a demonstrated history of building high-performing businesses for companies ranging from early-stage startups to publicly held entities. By combining his financial acumen, strategic and technical agility, Dan helps companies scale, grow and achieve profitability while serving as a thought partner and advisor to CEOs and Boards of Directors.

Prior to joining the Kranz team, Dan held various management positions across a wide array of industries as a CFO, EVP and CEO.  His roles spanned private equity backed professional services organizations, publicly traded technology companies including Computer Share, AirTouch Communications, and a division of the luxury goods company Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH).  As CEO, he led a SaaS-based technology company through a successful private equity exit. Over the past 25 years, Dan has leveraged his varied skillset to drive long term financial gains and immediately improve operations through a collaborative and data-driven approach that goes beyond traditional finance and accounting solutions.

Dan was born and raised the in San Francisco Bay Area, and lives in Marin County. He studied market dynamics at Cambridge University, graduated from the University of California, Davis, in managerial economics and began his career at Arthur Andersen where he earned his CPA certification.  Outside of the office, he can be found golfing, skiing or coaching the local high school mountain bike team.
