VP of Finance

Chris is an experienced finance and accounting professional with 30+ years’ in global Computer Hardware, Software, and Life Sciences companies, ranging from small venture-backed start-ups to publicly-held companies with over $10 billion in revenue. Chris’s experience enables him to partner with CEOs of start-up companies to develop business plans, manage the day-to-day financial and administrative functions and drive their performance to meet their long term financial and operational objectives, achieve operating efficiency and maximize shareholder value.

At Kranz, Chris has utilized his accounting and financial leadership at clients such as Netpulse (branded fitness club mobile apps), Mondee (online airline ticket consolidator), Elastica (cloud data security), Maravai Life Sciences and Vector Laboratories (private equity-backed life sciences companies), and Informatica (data integration software).

Before joining the team, Chris was the US Controller at Clickatell, a venture-backed online text messaging provider with operations in the USA and South Africa. Earlier in his career, he held Accounting and Finance management positions in Manufacturing, Marketing, R&D, and Consolidations at Sun Microsystems. Chris also held accounting management positions at Logitech (computer peripherals), Microtech research (software), and Finnigan (scientific instruments). Chris started his career at Deloitte & Touche where he earned a CPA.

Chris grew up in San Jose and received a B.S. in Accounting from Saint Mary’s College of California graduating magna cum laude. On the weekends you’re likely to find Chris and his fiancée walking Lance and Teddy (Yorkies) around San Francisco. Chris is also a CPA (inactive).
