30-Year Reflections: Dianne Conry
As we celebrate 30 years of building community, we asked our team to reflect on their own growth from 1994 to today. How did Consultant Dianne Conry find herself at Kranz 30 years later? Read the full interview below to get an inside look at her story.
Did your job require wearing a suit and tie every day in 1994? Share your most memorable (or outrageous!) work outfit from the 90s!
Our local Costco sold “Pretty Woman” outfits (polka-dotted long dress shorts with matching tops) in 3 different colors (royal blue, magenta, and purple). Three of us each bought an outfit in a different color and coordinated the dates when we would wear them at the same time.
What skill did you use the most at work in 1994, and how has that skill evolved or been replaced by technology today?
I was transitioning from Lotus 1-2-3 to Excel. As Excel has evolved in its functionality, I believe I have also evolved in learning Excel functions that help me to do my tasks more efficiently.
Looking back, what surprised you the most about how work has changed in the past 30 years?
The facts that accounting systems and data are in the cloud with remote access. Working remotely allowed more opportunities for our profession (and part-timers!) to achieve a great work/life balance.
