In Kim’s two-plus decades of working in high-tech finance in Silicon Valley, Kim Lain served as an interim CFO or Corporate Controller to help a myriad of companies grow successfully, including AppDynamics (now owned by Cisco), BandPage (now part of Google), Cloud.com (acquired by Citrix), several companies acquired by Amazon, AT&T, Presidio, and many others. Kim’s specialties include creating financial models to help startups raise funding, setting up accounting and other systems to scale their growth by implementing and migrating back-office systems from QuickBooks or Xero to NetSuite, and SAP. Skills in Kim’s toolkit include revenue recognition analysis, due diligence management, and international consolidations.

Kim is one of the rare natives of Silicon Valley, having grown up in Santa Clara. Kim is alumni to San Jose State and Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business. When not working, Kim loves to travel, SCUBA dive, or just hang out at a beach with her Yellow Lab, Beau. Kim has two children, one in veterinary school, and one as a chemical engineer at a local biotech firm.
