As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be an essential member of the Kranz Emerging Growth Consulting team, providing financial analysis support, strategic insights, and valuable recommendations to our clients and internal team members. This dynamic role involves working on diverse projects across multiple industries, partnering with clients to optimize their financial performance, enhance decision-making processes through analysis of key metrics, and drive business growth. You will use your strong analytical skills and financial expertise to tackle complex challenges, deliver data-driven insights, and help clients achieve their financial objectives.   This role will report to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and develop financial models to evaluate the client’s financial performance, identify trends, and forecast future outcomes. Perform scenario analyses to assess the impact of different business strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop accurate and detailed budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor performance against financial plans and provide recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  • Preparation and analysis of pricing, cost structures, profitability models, and variance analysis (actual v. plan, budget, forecast, and outlook)
  • Prepare monthly management reporting packages
  • Provide support for:
    • fundraising activities
    • transactions (M&A – Buy side, Sell-side, IPO, SPAC, LBO, Spinouts, Carveouts, transaction planning, deal structures, post-transaction activities, due diligence), and other strategic events effecting the company’s financial performance
  • Conduct cost analysis, process assessments, and profitability evaluations to recommend efficiency enhancements.
  • Assess financial risks and help clients develop risk mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
  • Prepare insightful financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations effectively to clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes. Use this knowledge to provide informed financial advice and strategic guidance.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • BS/BA in Business Finance or Accounting. MBA preferred, partial or full completion of CFA highly desired
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial management/FP&A, with a track record of success.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and financial software (SQL, Python, Excel etc..)
  • Ability to analyze financial data, budgets, and forecasts, and prepare external financial reports, statements and projections and provide input on key metrics and business decisions
  • Strong skills in both Microsoft and Google suite, proficient in complex accounting systems and CRM applications
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively work with senior management, board of directors, and staff
  • A hard-working, creative, self-starter that is results-oriented and dependable 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a sincere customer service attitude are essential
  • Highly collaborative, team oriented, comfortable leading cross functional projects within tight timeframes in a hands-on management capacity
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a remote environment
